Instructions:
This simulator is objective-driven. Units will remain stationary until an objective has been assigned to their side. To set up a battle, first deploy BLUFOR (Friendly) and OPFOR (Hostile) units using DEPLOY mode. Then switch to OBJECTIVE mode and place one objective for each side. Once both forces have objectives, press EXECUTE to begin the simulation. Units will automatically maneuver toward their assigned objective while engaging enemy forces that come within weapon range. Use UNDO to remove your most recent placement or WIPE DATA to clear the scenario and start over.
For the most realistic results, place opposing forces between 5 and 20 kilometers (3–12 miles) apart, depending on the type of engagement you want. Position each side's objective behind the opposing force, encouraging both armies to maneuver toward one another instead of remaining static. Avoid placing objectives directly on top of units or placing units at extreme distances across continents, as this can result in very long movement times. Mixing armor, mechanized infantry, mortars, and artillery produces more dynamic engagements, with artillery providing long-range fire support while armored units lead the advance.
